The Delivery of OPEX Enhancements & New Services Through CAPEX Projects using “Best of Breed” Methodologies and Frameworks
This week, is a big week this week. I've been in my current role for nearly 6 months, in this time I've practically implemented Agile into my development team, convinced them it isn't the start of a revolution, and this week is when my Manager, and Director, both attend 3 days Scrum training.
I'm very nervous, not because I don't have faith in the provider or the framework, but in case there is any "partial" adoption, cherry picking bits and modification to fit poor practises that surround development now, or, the worst possible outcome; I still hear "I don't think that will work here". Actually, I'm pretty sure the last fear has already been addressed, and I've also started to hear that it is now understood that Agile isn't and end-to-end project management methodology. Which is good, because I it doesn't help to write business cases, or implement a comms plan.
So, because I am experienced (and certified) in PRINCE 2 (Practitioner), Scrum (CSM), and ITIL (Foundation), I feel I'm pretty well equipped to suggest how these can hand together under a board. Together these methods and frameworks deliver great products under a CAPEX and/or OPEX funding model. Anyway here is the picture I knocked up last night to prove it.
